The Holy Blessing of a Civil Partnership I believe that no sector of society is dismissed by God and therefore must not be dismissed by clergy. Sadly, this is not always the case. I do not believe that people’s sexuality should be an issue with anyone - never mind with priests.
For gay couples, a church building cannot always be accessed, even if one was wanted. However many alternative venues can be found and, once appropriately arranged by us, can give you and your guests, the same sense of peace.
With the recent changes in the law, same sex couples can at last make a legal commitment to one another by way of a civil partnership. As with a registry office wedding, Civil Partnership services do not involve God. This is not for everyone, as God's blessing is important to many same sex couples. I have conducted wedding services all around the country, and even a few abroad, for many men and women wanting to make holy their civil vows and declare their love for each other while receiving God's blessing in the presence of their friends and family. Some services have been big, others small but the one thing they have had in common is the absolute essence of love and devotion from the couple and the people supporting them. .png)
This is my bible on the alter, surrounded by the holy union candles. I was about to bless the wedding rings. The professional photographer 'Sian Trenberth' - Links - captured this atmospheric and emotionally moving moment, perfectly. I am sure you would agree that it is a serious commitment therefore it is important for us to meet up to plan your service before hand so please click onto Contact Nicola Love each other as I have loved you. After your Civil Service I will help you put together a ceremony that is unique to you as a couple. You may want an intimate affair with two or three friends, or a more lavish ceremony with many guests.
You arrange the venue, but again, we can make recommendations from previous weddings and blessings as we have experienced many venues in the past.
I have contacts with some hotels and function halls so can advise you here, if required. This is Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire. The order of service can be as you want but it is best to work from a rough outline that I will help you with. I will show you samples and make suggestions to help you but am aware you may have your own ideas. You can have readings or poems of your choice read during the service by friends and relatives. You can choose conventional vows or write your own. Please look at an example of vows by clicking the link: Your vows - an example As you can see the possibilities are endless as everyone’s service should be special and unique. A Civil Services may be enough for some but for others a wedding/blessing ceremony after the legalities could be the time where family and friends attend. It is for some, more personal, emotional and memorable. If you wish to book my services or require further information please complete the 'Contact Us' form or email me direct.
